This Grade I listed Building was damaged in a devastating fire in 1990. The east wing was entirely destroyed leaving only the brick cellars in tact. The property has since been painstakingly restored using surviving records of its original foundations and archeological specifics. Planning consent was granted in November 2004 to convert this country house, along with the Stable Court and Dairy Court buildings, into opulent self-contained apartments and mews cottages. The devoted restoration of Dropmore House also includes the re-creation of the ground floor and several main entrances. Uniquely designed apartments display impressive bay windows, mezzanine floors and vast high ceilings, reflecting their traditional yet contemporary features.
